Home mining: small miners, properly monitored
Small, quiet miners for the desk or the living room have become a category of their own. Which ones FARMGOD supports, and how to watch them for free.
Not every miner stands in a container. A whole class of machines is built for the home: small, quiet, run from a wall socket, and some of them double as a heater. They mine in a pool like the big ones, or on their own for the small chance of finding a block.
The miners
- BitAxe Gamma, Max, Supra and Ultra, and their bigger relatives NerdQAxe++ and NerdOctAxe.
- Canaan's home line: Avalon Nano 3, Nano 3S, Mini 3 and Avalon Q (AvalonMiner).
- Braiins Mini Miner BMM 101, which runs Braiins OS.
- Goldshell Mini DOGE family, BYTE and DG Card, for Scrypt.
- Elphapex DG Home 1 and VolcMiner D1 Mini Pre.
- BitForge Nano.
What FARMGOD shows
The same as for a farm, at a smaller scale: hashrate, temperature, power and efficiency for every miner, its history as charts, and what it earns against what its electricity costs. Depending on the model you can reboot it, change its pools and switch its power mode from the dashboard.
Free for up to five miners
FARMGOD Cloud has no time limit for accounts with up to five miners. For most home setups that is the whole fleet.
What you need at home
Something in your network that reads the miners: FARMGOD.OS. It starts from a USB stick on any spare PC, or runs as a virtual machine in VirtualBox or on a Mac with an M chip. On a Raspberry Pi or another Linux computer, the standalone Kollektor does the same job.
Get started shows the three steps.
